2019 elections: Senate okays N53bn for ONSA, security agencies

The Nigerian Senate Tuesday approved a total sum of N53bn ‎for the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) and security agencies for the supervision of the 2019 general elections.

The approval was recommended by the Senate committee on appropriation after its report on INEC budget was adopted.

Specifically, the Department of State Services (DSS), Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSDC), Nigeria Police Force, and the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) are the other security agencies to benefit from the fund.
