Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, governor of Lagos state, and Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), did not let their recent contest put brick wall between them at the National Convention of the party held in Abuja on Saturday.
Both walked into the Eagle Square, venue of the convention, hand-in-hand and sat together to the admiration of the party members.
Sanwo-Olu scored 970,851 votes to defeat Ambode, who secured 72,901 votes in the party’s governorship primary.
Despite the obvious bitterness, the governor had since accepted his loss and thanked the winner.
