Chairman of Innoson Motors, Dr Innocent Chukwuma has said the directive of the Supreme Court ordering the GTBank to pay him N14bn within 14 day was falsely reported by his company.
He the court struck the motion for stay of execution of the Enugu court of appeal division’s order that GT Bank pays N6 billion into an interest yielding account.
GTBank in a quick reaction told the public said Innoson’s claims were “false, mischievous and malicious”.
The company in an official statement via Twitter said,
“The caption was a slight distortion of the information. When the information came to our notice we had to correct the error made by the staff of the agency managing our social media accounts. We apologize for that misleading information.
“Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing (IVM) is still committed in the vision to make Nigeria self-sufficient in automobile production.”
