INEC Amendment Act [2010] scales through second reading

The Nigerian Senate intensified effort on the amendment of the Independent National Electoral Commission Act of 2010 on Wednesday as the bill scaled through second reading.

The Senate President, Bukola Saraki, however, referred the Bill to the Committee on INEC, which is expected to report back to the full plenary on Tuesday, October 16th, 2018.

The Electoral Act is the framework guiding all electioneering activities in Nigeria.
