JUST IN: Atiku to fly PDP’s flag against Buhari in 2019 presidential election

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has picked the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ticket to run for the 2019 presidential election against incumbent, Muhammadu Buhari.

Atiku won overwhelmingly, scoring 1,532 votes to condemn the nearest candidate, Aminu Tambuwal to second place with his 693 votes in the primary that began on Saturday and rounded off today at the Adokiye Amasiemeka Stadium in Port Harcourt, capital of Rivers State.

With this victory, this is the fifth attempt of Mr Atiku at presidency, having aspired for the office every election cycle since leaving office as Vice President in 2003.
