Kashamu counters court’s verdict, says no extradition case against him

Senator Buruji Kashamu has discredited the judgment of the Lagos Division of the Court of Appeal on Friday, saying there is no any extradition case against him in any court in Nigeria or abroad.

The Court of Appeal on Friday ruled that the coast is clear for security agencies to pick him up to face his drug related offence.

But in a swift reaction, Mr Buruji said the illegal move surreptitiously introduced by the powers-that-be after the 2015 abduction plot was exposed has been dismissed and that was in Suit No. FHC/ABJ/CS/479/2015.

He said the suit was dismissed on the 1st of July, 2015, for being an abuse of court process. Anything to the contrary is sheer mischief and over sensationalism by some reporters.

He also said that his lawyers have filed a notice of appeal and a motion for injunction pending the determination of the appeal to the Supreme Court of Nigeria and that the apex court will do justice.

Kashamu also enjoined his associates, lovers, supporters and others to remain calm saying that ‘the truth shall prevail over falsehood as light triumphs over darkness.’
