Lagos unveils 44-feet statue in honour of Gani Fawehinmi

The Lagos State Government on Sunday unveiled a new 44-feet statue of the late Chief Gani Fawehinmi to commemorate his 80^th posthumous birthday.

The new statue situated at the Liberty Park in Ojota was commissioned by the Deputy Governor, Dr. Oluranti Adebule.

Fawehinmi, a legal icon and human rights activist fought for the rights of Nigerians until his death on the 5th of September 2009.
