Hon. Prince Ned Nwoko has emerged winner of the Youth Emancipator 2018 award of the prestigious “The Nigerian” Celebrating the Icons of a New Nigeria.
The Nigerian is a London based media outfit and domiciled in Nigeria.
The award ceremony which was held at the Dorchester, London in September saw in attendance several high-profile personalities, that has contributed immensely to the development of the country.
Hon. Ned was not able to attend the event in London due to his busy schedule, notably his humanitarian service to his people.
However, the management of The Nigerian made sure the award presentation was done in Abuja on Monday,
The Managing Director of The Nigerian, Mr. Francois Deroubaix said the interventions of Hon. Ned Nwoko in the society over the years have been unprecedented, especially the sponsorship of various scholarship programmes that have seen several youths off the street through his several support schemes.
Ned Nwoko was singled out as the Youth Emancipator of the year for his numerous philanthropic works, with the main basis being his several youth empowerment programmes in areas of sports and education.
This award is coming at the heel of the just concluded Delta North senatorial primary elections that several observers alleged irregularities, despite this fact, Ned who was a contender had kept mute after the exercise and was seen in high spirit during the award presentation
In his remarks, he expressed gratitude the management of The Nigerian for finding him worthy of receiving the award alongside other notable Nigerians while he also said every award he receives spurs him to do more in touching lives.
