President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday (today) officially declares his intention to run for second term come 2019.
Buhari made his intent known at the ongoing National Executive Committee meeting of the ruling All Progressives Congress in Abuja.
“President Muhammadu Buhari has just officially announced his intention to seek re-election in 2019,” said Bashir Ahmad, President’s Personal Assistant on New Media Engagement via Twitter.
And, on the Facebook account of Mr. President, a short message confirming the declaration is below:
“Today at the National Executive Committee (NEC) Meeting of our Party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), I announced my intention to run for a second term in Office in the 2019 Presidential Elections.”
