A former member of the House of Representatives, Opeyemi Bamidele, has been flown to the United Kingdom for treatment.
According to Punch, Bamidele was flown to the UK on a private jet belonging to Bola Tinubu, a national leader of the APC.
On June 1, Bamidele was shot at the All Progressives Congress (APC) secretariat in Ekiti during a reception organised for Kayode Fayemi, the governorship candidate for the July 14 election.
He was later taken to Euracare Multi-Specialists Hospital on Victoria Island, Lagos, for treatment.
Doctors were said to have removed bullets from his body.
The newspaper said Tinubu insisted that Bamidele should be flown to Europe so he will receive proper treatment.
The former house of reps member served as a commissioner under Tinubu.
