Mr. Adebayo Shittu, Minister of Communications, has been disqualified from vying for the office of the Governor of Oyo State by the All Progressives Congress (APC).
APC’s governorship aspirant screening committee initially cleared Shittu despite the emergence of evidence he did not undergo the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) — same offence for which Kemi Adeosun had to quit her position as Finance Minister.
However, after the party’s National Working Committee NWC) met to review the report of the screening committee, it decided against clearing him.
